Mobile Mini UK Ltd will conduct its activities in an environmentally responsible manner and is committed to the continual improvement of both external and internal environmental performance by means of effective environmental management.
Environment Policy
Flexibility and willingness is the key to success to change, which will be achieved through the consistent involvement of all employees in the process of continual improvement of working systems and practices. The Company will operate an Environmental Management System hat will facilitate the achievement of the following Company-wide objectives and will comply with the principles of ISO 14001
The principles contained within this environmental policy statement are mandatory at all Mobile Mini Sites and will be monitored by each Site Manager.
• To comply with all applicable legislation and regulations and the requirements of our customers and any party having an environmental impact on the Company.
• To continuously improve operational efficiency through appropriate investment in both machinery and personnel.
• To continuously improve energy efficiency and waste minimisation.
• To assess the environmental performance of our suppliers.
• To source raw materials for environmentally friendly and renewable sources where possible.
• To utilise new technologies in reducing the carbon footprint from our companies activities and assisting our customers to reduce theirs.
• To prevent pollution and maintain tidy environmentally benign sites.
• To ensure that this Policy is communicated throughout the Company and to the general public by display in prominent locations.
• To establish a framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets.

Mobile Mini UK Ltd is committed to ensure that through our day-to-day business activities we minimise our impact on the environment. We have looked at 8 key areas and set targets on environmental performance.
Those key areas are:
Reducing the carbon footprint.
Air Pollution
• Reduce vehicle emissions where practicable by regular servicing of vehicles and effective route planning.
• All vehicles must comply with MoT certificate emission standards. Vehicles producing excessive emissions, such as smoke, are prohibited from the use until improvements are made. Additionally, staff are prohibited from leaving vehicles engines running whilst left unattended.
• All new fleet, purchased by Mobile Mini will be of the latest low emission technology including FLT, Delivery vehicles and company cars.
• We also encourage the use of public transport to reduce emissions from cars.
Climate Change
• Reduce CO2 from energy sources by 10% by 2015.
• Report greenhouse gas emissions for all Mobile Mini Sites.
Energy Use
• Ensure all new buildings, electronic motors and major plant are of energy efficient design.
• Provide training to staff to conserve energy.
Land
• Maximise the efficiency of our depot facilities.
• Take full account of the effects of our business on local ecological, landscape and archaeological resources.
• Carefully select the materials and chemicals used on our site.
• Mobile Mini's land is a valuable resource, which is used efficiently by carefully planning of our site layouts, and use of land is kept to a minimum to run an efficient operation.
Sustainability
• All new fleet or raw materials will be sourced from environmentally friendly sources which where possible are from renewable sources.
Noise
• Vehicle noise will be reduced by ensuring vehicles are effectively maintained and not left running when not in use.
• Vehicle use during evenings and weekends will be kept to a minimum to ensure our neighbours are not disturbed.
Water
• Reduce water consumption by 10% by 2015.
• Compliance with consent conditions.
• To ensure that Mobile Mini do not contaminate local water courses.

• Reduce waste disposal per depot by 10% by 2015.
