Company Induction

At Mobile Mini we recognise the importance of a warm welcome and a positive induction to the company which is why we invest in our new employees from the very beginning.

Our induction programme gives new starters all the tools they need to be successful in their roles. All new employees are welcomed into the company through a combination face-to-face, hands-on and e-learning training.

New employees have the opportunity to spend time in the yard and on the road with our HGV Drivers to expand their knowledge and understanding of how we get our units out on hire. New starters, dependent on job role, also have the opportunity visit our Support Centre and meet with Managing Director, Chris Morgan.

Our team of highly trained HGV drivers all undergo an intensive induction programme. We focus on giving our drivers the highest standards of training so we remain safe on the roads and on our customer’s sites.

Learning & Development

We invest heavily in the Learning and Development of our workforce to ensure that they are competent and confident in their roles. All employees have regular appraisals and development discussions to help increase their skills and knowledge. We support all needs from basic computer skills to accredited Health & Safety training.

Mobile Mini’s Learning & Development team are in place to ensure all of the support and formal training is created and organised for our employees to develop their abilities. We have worked hard to achieve an ISO 9001:2015 accreditation and we have ensured that our records and processes now follow this standard.

At Mobile Mini, we recognise that investing in our leaders is a key part of our success and have invested in bespoke leadership programmes. Our principles of leadership include empowerment, trust and open communication and these principles support our teams who work together to be the best and to provide excellent service to our customers.

We also develop and deliver a range of in-house training courses to meet the needs of our employees covering areas such as Customer Service, Working at Height, Product Knowledge and regular training and support with our internal systems.

Health & Safety Training

Safety is our highest priority at Mobile Mini. We take responsibility for our own safety and for the safety of those around us. This is reflected by our investment in accredited Health & Safety training. Some of our main courses we offer our staff are listed below.

HGV Driver Development Programme

Mobile Mini’s Driver Development Programme is a bespoke course which has been created to give all employees the opportunity to become a HGV Driver. As part of the course they receive full training to obtain the required category C and C+E driving licence plus a full induction into the role featuring ALLMI training, bespoke CPC-accredited Transport Induction, Lifting Induction and in-house Working at Height training.

Apprenticeships & NVQs

We are proud of the formal NVQ Apprenticeships which we offer for new and existing staff, which include programmes in Leadership & Management and Business Administration.

To bring ourselves in line with the changes to UK CSCS cards, we have also contributed to the development of a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Modular and Portable Buildings. This course provides our operatives with the required skills necessary to obtain a CSCS card, allowing work to be conducted at our customers’ sites.

We are also heavily involved in the creation of a new Modular and Portable Building Operative apprenticeship to give our new and existing operatives all of the skill and experience they need to complete all areas of work within the yard to the highest possible standard.
