I started off in customer service and sales at our Manningtree depot. When I heard about the company opening the National Sales Centre (NSC) at head office I was very excited at the opportunity and relocated to become a team leader and sales person.
My main role now is as a Business Development Manager. I work on bringing new business into the NSC and increasing orders from existing businesses. My tasks include outbound calls to new and existing customers and looking after any of their container requirements.
The biggest challenge in my role would be prioritising. Because I work with lots of different clients from different backgrounds I have had to learn how to do what is needed straight away first. I do this by timetabling and with support from our sales admin team.
