Q & A

How did you come to work in your current role?

I started off in customer service and sales at our Manningtree depot. When I heard about the company opening the National Sales Centre (NSC) at head office I was very excited at the opportunity and relocated to become a team leader and sales person.

What are the day to tasks of your role?

My main role now is as a Business Development Manager. I work on bringing new business into the NSC and increasing orders from existing businesses. My tasks include outbound calls to new and existing customers and looking after any of their container requirements.

What do you like most about working here?

I love the people I work with, we’re a close bunch of people and support each other well. I also enjoy the different customers I get to work with, it always varies and it keeps it exciting.

What are the biggest challenges in your role?

The biggest challenge in my role would be prioritising. Because I work with lots of different clients from different backgrounds I have had to learn how to do what is needed straight away first. I do this by timetabling and with support from our sales admin team.

What has been the best day in your job?

The best day at my job was receiving the NSC Sales Person of the Year away at our company conference in Las Vegas. It was lovely to receive recognition and get awarded for my sales achievements.
