Our South Wales branch helped provide facilities for the Fire and Rescue Service’s UKRO Challenge and ‘Super September Weekend’.
2018, Cardiff Bay played host to the UK’s largest rescue challenge event (UKRO), where more than 500 of the most skilled firefighters competed in simulated live rescues on both land and water in and around the Roald Dahl Plass.
A range of our units were positioned on site and were used by the event team for their site accommodation and storage needs.
One of our dedicated account managers liaised regularly with the Fire Service in the months leading up to the event, attending several meetings and site visits, to make sure that they had everything they needed. And our South Wales branch staff and drivers did a great job of delivering quality units and a safe and hassle-free installation.
Raz Prince, Station Manager and UKRO Deputy Project Lead following the event said, “I would like to take this time to express my sincere gratitude to the staff at Mobile Mini who supported us in supplying and delivering 14 containers ranging from welfare units, offices and drying rooms, to facilitate over 500 professional fire fighters to compete in this Year’s UKRO challenge.
“Immediately your delivery team got to work in positioning the units in extremely tights areas with precision and accuracy. Your staff operated exactly like the fire service with clear communication and incredibly safe procedures of work.
“The service provided by Mobile Mini was crucial to the success of our event, which thanks to your support and dedication to support South Wales Fire & Rescue service, has been stated as “one of the best challenges yet”.”
