Isabel Hospice is a Welwyn Garden City-based charity that offers care for those with a life-limiting illness, and their families. The hospice works alongside healthcare providers to offer free care for people across the whole of eastern Hertfordshire.
With care numbers constantly growing, Isabel Hospice relies heavily on community donations, fundraising events, and income from its shops. This year alone, it must raise £6.2 million to reach its aims of caring for more people, earlier in their journey.
But with limited warehouse spaces and issues storing donated goods, Isabel was faced with a stumbling block in its journey to fundraise. That’s where Mobile Mini stepped in.
We heard about the issues Isabel Hospice was experiencing and had the perfect solution – a donation of one of our 20ft containers. Completely weatherproof and secure, the container provides the perfect space for the charity to store its additional donations.
Aidan Kirwan of Isabel Hospice said: “I’d worked with Mobile Mini for 5 years in a previous role and I knew first-hand how helpful they are. Plus, they have a good reputation, so we were happy to work together again.”
The hospice contacted us and we were proud to support them through our Community Involvement Scheme, which offers charities and charitable organisations up to six months of free container hire to keep their operation running smoothly.
Aidan continued: “This donation has eased our whole operation by giving us extra space. The whole process was so easy, and we were always kept up to date in terms of delivery times and so on. We are very grateful to Mobile Mini for offering to help us with extra storage for our retail operation.”
