For each local, general and European election, Middlesbrough Council is responsible for accommodating voters at polling stations in each ward. In some locations, there are no suitable facilities for a polling station, which is where we step in.
In Middlesbrough, there are several wards where you will cast a vote within a Mobile Mini site accommodation unit. Election days can be long and tiring so having a comfortable, secure space for the volunteer teams as well as the voters is important. We not only supply the units themselves, we also provide tables, chairs, power and heaters to fit out each space. And not forgetting the toilet facilities! This means that all the council teams need to do, is bring the polling cards, pencils and all-important black box.
“Mobile Mini units are the perfect solution,” says Neil Shaw from Middlesbrough Council’s buildings team. “The team have incredible local knowledge and in the 10+ years I’ve worked with them, they have also learned about each of our sites meaning we don’t need to spend additional time on-site visits or investigation for the best spot with relation to parking, convenience facilities, or access.
“We work together to find the best possible use of units, budgets and space. From order to delivery, collection to invoicing, there are no issues and they make it so easy – nothing is too much trouble. The branch team know us, our sites, our teams and history, and I would 100% recommend them to anyone needing storage or site accommodation.”
