Industry Spotlight: Construction
If there’s any one industry most commonly associated with storage container hire, it’s the construction industry, and at Mobile Mini we’ve been a favourite with construction firms across the UK since we started. We understand the needs that come with a construction site – the storage, the offices and break rooms, and the need for durable temporary working spaces. Here, we’ve detailed the steps we take to make sure the service we provide is top-notch every time – and we’d love to hear your input, too.
Our storage containers are 100% steel with hardwood flooring and swing cargo doors, ensuring plenty of space, durability and accessibility throughout the construction process. Building sites in particular are likely to have a varied number of materials that need to be packed and stored, as well as waste that needs to be managed effectively, so units can be modified to suit – you might find extra ventilation or linked units particularly helpful on larger projects.
Site accommodation is just as important as storage, particularly on large construction projects. Woe betide the site manager who doesn’t arrange somewhere to plug in the kettle! There are plenty of reasons you might need a converted storage container installed; as well as the break rooms and even canteens, senior staff are likely to require an office space for administration. We offer all of these and more, with optional extras to include air conditioning, carpeting and fitted kitchens – so whether you’re on site for a month or a year, you can be fully prepared for the work.
We take care to make sure security is top priority on all our units, whether in use for storage or accommodation. We know it’s your number one concern, so obviously, it’s ours too. We use our own patented Tri-Cam Locking System which essentially provides bank vault-levels of security, with a three-point hidden internal lock. Then we use a Container Guard Lock, a type of padlock with a difference – this one features a six-pin tumbler system, is made from hardened steel, and is virtually unpickable. The containers themselves have an Anti-Vandal design, with no vulnerabilities across the steel unit.
