Keeping it in the family: How Mobile Mini and Mr Box have container conversions boxed off

It’s true what they say, you can always rely on your family.  Just six months after Mr Box became part of the Mobile Mini family, we were really excited to be able to call on their expertise to produce our very own container conversion.

Mobile Mini needed a hospitality area for our attendance at Plantworx 2017, a large, outdoor event for the construction industry, held in Leicestershire in June.  Our stand was to have a golf-theme and we really liked the idea of having our own Clubhouse at the show.

With their outstanding reputation for delivering bespoke container conversions, it was a no-brainer for us to contact the Mr Box team.

By chatting to the team about our requirements, they were able to meet our budget and time frames and turn our conversion idea into a reality.  We couldn’t have been more pleased with the end result, which certainly caught the attention of visitors at the show.

In the planning

From our initial discussions, Mr Box came up with the design concept for our ‘Clubhouse’ container conversion.

Grinding the bottom rail ready for a piece of box section to be welded on to the wall where the electrics will be fixed (Mr Box never screw them straight through the wall, as this is not a good long term solution as you risk leaks)

Masking tape is put over every door seal and locking bar, and all shipping logos and any marks on the container are removed before painting, to ensure a good finish.
