One busy Friday last month, our Marketing Director, Zoe Brookes, took a phone call which she’d been waiting to receive since the start of the year.
Zoe was contacted by the delightful team at the North East Business Awards, who were excited to tell her we’d been shortlisted for this year’s Teesside Business Awards.
The awards, organised by The Journal and The Gazette, celebrate the achievements of the region’s companies, and in our first year of entering, we’re ecstatic to be one of three businesses shortlisted for the Let’s Grow Award.
We decided to apply for this award following the recent success we’ve achieved as a company, which culminated with 2016 being hailed as a record year for us, with annual income hitting £59.8m, a 24.3% growth over the past 3 years.
As well as significant financial growth, the Mobile Mini team has also grown, and over the last 12 months, the number of employees has increased by 31, taking the company to 424 employees in 2016.
Members of our management team, as well as both our Middlesbrough and Sunderland branch managers, will be donning their glad rags when they attend the ceremony on March 30th at Teesside University’s Olympia Building.
Speaking about the awards, Zoe said: “It’s fantastic for us to be shortlisted in our first year of applying for the NE Business Awards.
“The company has grown hugely over the last three years and it’s great for this achievement to be officially recognised.
“We’re looking forward to attending the event and have everything crossed we walk away with first prize.”
