Marking Mental Health Awareness Week
Now in its 19th year, this week is Mental Health Awareness Week and since 2001 the campaign has helped millions talk about this taboo subject.
Founded by the Mental Health Foundation, the movement drives forward change and has raised awareness of topics like body image, stress and relationships.
Now more than ever we know how important it is to support the mental health of our team, customers, suppliers and subcontractors during the uncertainty and confusion that COVID-19 has brought upon us all.
The campaign this year is focused around the theme of kindness – something that is fundamental to the development of positive mental health through the challenging times we are facing.
Kindness can mean so many different things and takes a multitude of different forms, but we wanted to share those offered by our chosen charity, The Lighthouse Club.
Not only has their support of the construction industry made a massive difference both before and during the pandemic, but they are offering a variety of additional materials throughout Mental Health Awareness Week to support those that need it.
Daily bulletins with FREE wellbeing seminars focusing on a variety of topics from resilience to stress management and mindfulness can be accessed via the links below:
This week also sees the launch of a whole host of new features on the charity’s FREE wellbeing app.
