At Mobile Mini UK, we have built an enviable and long-standing reputation for high-quality industry performance, but with consistent success and performance comes high demand!  Our customers are diverse and range from construction and facilities management specialists to event providers, healthcare sites and education establishments; but all tend to face similar challenges, regardless of industry, when returning to work in the New Year.

 

We have come to expect an influx of delivery requests on the first full week back to work in January and always ensure we are as prepared to fulfil these requirements as possible. This year, however, New Year falls on a weekend and therefore the following Monday and Tuesday are Bank Holidays. Many businesses will delay returning in earnest until the following Monday, the 10th of January, which will have a massive impact on the hours and days we have available to reach customers. This backlog, coupled with delayed projects due to supply chain shortages, means we face a unique scenario and unprecedented demand for the start of 2022.

 

How do we overcome this challenge?

Operationally, we understand we need to be at full strength and both our yard employees and drivers are kindly offering as much availability as possible throughout December, so we are ready to hit January with a bang.  Our sales team is busy building pipelines and securing orders right now, so our main piece of advice for customers who know they will have an urgent need is not to delay any further. Let us know right away what is needed to avoid disappointment.

Forward planning is always essential in business but various independent sources, such as GDP Construction Output and Glenigan, are predicting the busiest project requirement in our industry for decades. Preparedness is the only way to guarantee you are 2022 secure, so we are working hard to ensure we are ready and encouraging all potential customers to do the same.
