Storage support for Operation Christmas Child

Our Sunderland branch recently came to the aid of Operation Christmas Child, who were in need of extra storage space for their donations.

Operation Christmas Child, or the shoebox appeal as it is otherwise known as, is a yearly campaign ran by the organisation Samaritan’s Purse, whereby local schools, churches and businesses wrap and fill shoeboxes with gifts such as hygiene items, toys and stationary for underprivileged and orphaned children, aged between two to 14 years old and living across 113 countries.

The charity’s Sunderland and Teesside branch gave us a call when they realised that their warehouse had reached capacity for storing all the shoeboxes that were ready for export.  Our Sunderland branch were more than happy to help out by offering the free hire of a storage container.

Mobile Mini’s Community Involvement Programme, offers free of charge storage container hire to non-profit or voluntary organisations, where Mobile Mini’s support can make a real difference.

All of our branches across the UK donate up to 10 containers each year free of charge (hire not to exceed 6 months) to worthy community causes. If you think that we can help then please give your nearest branch a call.
